About Me

RAFFAELLA ROMANO - VISUAL ARTIST

Born in Sorrento, 1983, lives and work between Pescara and Naples.

The interest in the study of the creative process starts from visual perception, from the analysis of the eye-brain system, manipulating science and knowledge, sign and image, the artist reflects on what the observer perceives, often placing he at the center of the work art. Installations, videos and photographs create a world in which reality and fiction, subjective and objective meet, and where in the game of the parts the artist is the first observer of his work. Always alive remains the dialogue with scientific phenomena, opening between the art and the world of Quanti, a speech with the Philosophy of Physics. The latest works, study the limits of perceptual thresholds and visions within the eye of the observer, often using mirrors and reflective materials, the artist investigates the relationships between subjectivity and autoriality, but also between public space and intimate sphere.
